Strategic partnerships to support Teaching Schools in managing, planning and delivering effective CPD to develop your Teaching School Alliance

Our team of professionals can work with you to support your Teaching School ambitions. We have experience as a commercial CPD provider, an ICT, project and education advisory service, and in providing expert school improvement and management services on behalf of Local Authorities. A strategic partnership with Cambridge Education can encompass:

Ofsted and leadership development: In order to deliver a fully inclusive CPD programme for your Alliance we can provide a wide range leadership development, including Ofsted 2012, delivered by experienced inspectors and leadership specialists. Programmes can be bespoke or from our current range of offerings, including Train the Trainer, Making Good Teaching Outstanding and Effective Classroom Observation, and incorporate best practice from within your own alliance to complement other CPD activities. We have also developed rigorous quality assurance models and can complement your CPD by establishing effective coaching and peer-mentoring schemes.

Reviews to establish key focus and evaluate impact: From our experience of cluster/partnership support, we have learned how important it is to review all schools within the partnership before plans and actions are formalised. From full Ofsted style inspections to department reviews, literacy to SEN, and through facilitation of focus groups, we ensure all evaluations involve key senior staff. This ensures that CPD and improvement plans are fully complementary to the needs of all your schools and that your impact can be measured. Value for money reviews are also available for those Teaching Schools who wish to combine resources and reduce expenditure across their Alliance.

Business management, logistics, capacity and communications: To support schools in developing and advertising the full range of services to your Alliance, we can develop a central platform/website of which to advertise and book courses, share information through forums, and promote your Teaching School’s activities. In addition to procurement, HR, financial management support, including the set up of traded services, we also offer guidance on grant applications including for the Education Endowment Fund. For schools in the London area and surrounding counties we also have a pool of school business managers available on an interim or permanent basis.

National coverage: Working with Cambridge Education allows you to gain national coverage of your most outstanding CPD offerings. We can promote your training and Teaching School activities through our national website and encourage participants to attend your training from outside of your Alliance, to share best practice across your region and beyond, resulting in extra income for your Alliance.
