Who is it suitable for?
Primary subject leaders and secondary heads of department.
Outcomes
You will receive a written report of key findings from your review and progress to date. This can be used to provide evidence for your SEF and support continued improvement monitoring.
Our consultant teams will work with you to provide an agreed six week action plan which can include coaching and mentoring, support to improve classroom practice and peer teaching.
Programme
Diagnostic review
Direct and joint lesson observations with senior and middle leaders, a review of tracking processes, analysis of pupils’ work, evaluation of departmental documents and processes, and discussion with pupils and staff.
Action plan
In-school support for improvement
May include peer teaching, lesson evaluation training, support to ensure a workforce fit for purpose, recruitment and retention, support to improve classroom practice – classroom climate, use of ICT to support learning, Assessment for Learning, coaching and mentoring, implementing effective data and tracking systems, sharing best practice across departments and the school, and how to re-build confidence in a subject across the school and wider community.
