Healthy schools – supporting health and wellbeing

All schools with National Healthy School Status are now eligible to become part of the recently launched Healthy School enhancement model. Those that have had status for 3 years will need to begin to work within the enhancement model to retain this and continue to be a 'healthy school'

Senior leaders and staff responsible for health and wellbeing or whole school staff group.

Course overview

The healthy school programme is changing. This course provides senior managers and healthy school leads with the opportunity to find out more about the enhancement model and how to continue to develop their work to support children's health and wellbeing.

Outcomes

• Explore a new model for evaluating school provision for supporting health and wellbeing.
• Consider the benefits and impact of working within this model and how it contributes to school improvement.
