Overview
Research consistently indicates that parents’ involvement in supporting their children’s learning both at home and in partnership with the school is critical in raising children’s achievement, attainment and well-being. ICT systems within your school can be used to enhance your parental engagements and further encourage your parents to get involved in their child’s learning.
Outcomes
This tailored in school workshop will cover:
- An awareness of the importance of parental engagement as a powerful tool to raising achievement and current statutory requirements
- A review of the key drivers, challenges or barriers to overcome in making parental engagement a success
- Planning the journey from parental involvement to engagement - how can effective parental engagement be achieved?
- Sharing examples of effective practice, action planning, recording and evidencing the important elements of the parental engagement process.
