- Provide an overview of current OFSTED guidance for modern foreign language teaching and learning
- Clarify the role of subject leader for French to ensure impact on the quality of teaching and learning
- Introduce an ‘in class’ coaching model where the subject leader supports the class teacher in their teaching of French. Participants will be provided with a teaching resource, including schemes of work.
- Outline progression in pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills in French across Key Stage 2
- Model effective use of the activities and resources included in the pack
