Overview

This one day training programme provides updated information and materials regarding child protection and safeguarding legislation and guidance. In addition, you will receive support and advice on specific issues including child protection, managing allegations against staff, working in partnership and communication with agencies.

Outcomes

  • Know and understand the most current child protection legislation.
  • Understand the child protection process from the point of concern through to referral and assessment.
  • Identify ways of building stronger links between schools and parents.
  • Support staff in your school in their understanding and application of child protection responsibilities.
  • Deal appropriately with disclosures of abuse from children.
