Overview
This one day EYFS training day will give you lots of practical ideas and hands-on examples to help you to develop and enhance your provision, planning observation and assessment practices in Early Years Foundation Stage. The training also includes the opportunity to review a new web resource ‘Personalsiation by Pieces (PbyP)’ which will support your school with online reporting to parents – an EYFS requirement by September 2012. The ‘WE CAN DO THAT! Freeing children to be active learners’ early years resources are included to support this training.
Outcomes
- Involve parents and pupils in the EYFS profile using the ‘Personalisation by Pieces (PbyP) Early Years Foundation Stage’ Profile.
- Understand what makes an effective indoor and outdoor learning environment.
- Examine a systematic and simple approach to observations and assessments.
- Develop planning and observation formats that work for your school.
- Use your observations and assessments to plan for next stages of learning.
- Understand how to assess pupils on entry and track their progress.
