Course duration 1 day - 09:30 - 15:30 Who is the course suitable for? PSHE education subject leaders/ senior managers (primary and secondary). What will you learn? This course will equip subject leaders and senior managers to effectively lead drug policy and drug, alcohol and tobacco education within their school. What will it cover? - Plan how to develop and support best practice in DATE teaching and learning at your school.
- Understand the purpose of the school drug policy and related legislation.
- Consider how to manage drug related incidents that may occur at school.
- Feel able to consult and work in partnership with parents and external agencies to develop the school drug policy.
- Be able to update your school’s drug policy using the Cambridge Education drug policy template
- Evaluate your school’s current practice in DATE teaching and learning
- Consider a range of age-appropriate teaching resources
